2012 ford flex review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. The ford flex is a full-size family vehicle that features three-rows of seating, bold styling and is highly functional. The flex competes directly in the popular crossover segment. The front-wheel or all-wheel drive flex is powered by a 262-hp 3. 5-liter v6 engine. Available on all-wheel drive models only is a 355-hp 3. 5-liter twin-turbo v6 engine featuring ecoboost. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, with the ecoboost models providing steering wheel paddle shifters. Seven-passenger seating is standard on all trim levels. Available features include the sync communication and entertainment system, a multi-panel vista roof, interior refrigerator, and capless fueling. For 2012, the second row bench seat in the limited and titanium now includes a flip out armrest with two cupholders. The ecoboost engine is no longer available on the sel awd trim.
